Opus Quad My Settings on USB Stick: how to save

Hi all, I'm confused by the "My settings" support on the Opus Quad via USB stick. Apparently I can load settings from a USB drive on the Opus Quad. However, how and where can I save the desired settings on the USB for the Opus Quad to load?

In rekordbox on PC I can look at the stored settings on the USB device by clicking on the device where I can also set sort options etc. But I can't change anything there, e.g. the "Deck load lock" function is "off" but I always have it on on my OQ. I don't see any option on the OQ to save the actual settings to the USB. So the settings on the USB don't reflect my actual OQ settings.

I haven't tried loading the settings from USB as I don't want those settings and also don't want to risk anything if it's not clear how it works.

Thanks for any insights!

set it in the Rekordbox settings and choose to auto push to all USB drives that are plugged in or uncheck that and go in to settings for any new usb plugged in and click to "apply on all connected devices"

Ah, that's how it works, thank you so much! I guess I don't need to load the settings on my own OQ because it keeps them (mostly) but good as a backup or if using on a different device or if someone changed the settings.

yes, the only settings I see the OQ is not saving for me are things like MT, pitch % difference and a few others

Adjust your settings on the device, then use the 'Save My Settings' option in the Utility menu to write them to the USB drive for future use

I once encountered the same situation as you and after a while of tinkering, I figured it out: On Opus Quad, you have to go to UTILITY > My Settings Export to save the current settings to USB. Then, when you plug the USB into another computer, just go to UTILITY > My Settings Import to reload Sprunki Retake . On rekordbox, you can only manage sorting, waveform,... but cannot adjust settings like Deck Load Lock. In general, it's quite convenient if you play at many clubs!

Hey! I’ve run into similar confusion with the Opus Quad settings via USB. From what I’ve gathered, the settings stored on the USB are the ones exported from rekordbox, not the ones saved directly from the OQ itself. Sadly, there’s currently no option on the OQ to write your live settings back to USB.

Your best bet is to configure your preferred settings in rekordbox (including things like Deck Load Lock), then re-export them to USB. I agree it's a bit unclear, and definitely feels like a feature that should be added in a future update!

Let me know if you test the load function — curious to hear how it behaves!

You've hit upon a common point of confusion with Rekordbox and Pioneer DJ gear! It's true that the "stored settings" you see when clicking on the USB device in Rekordbox on your PC are essentially the default settings that Rekordbox will try to apply to a CDJ/XDJ when that USB is inserted. However, these are not necessarily a live reflection of the settings you've changed on your Opus-Quad (OQ) after you've started using it.

With this one, the "My Settings" function on the Opus-Quad is accessed via USB and is generated on your PC with **Rekordbox that does not store it in the unit directly**. To ensure mcdvoice settings you want, such as "Deck Load Lock," are saved onto the USB for loading, you will need to set them within the preferences in Rekordbox and then export some content to the USB, which will carry the settings.

@levantsolarenergy Make sure you're using the most recent firmware version before anything else. Bugs that cause these kinds of issues are sometimes fixed in upgrades. To avoid a complete restart, consider resetting the settings if this happens again.

You can load settings from USB on the Opus Quad, but saving current settings back to USB must be done through rekordbox by exporting updated preferences. The unit itself doesn’t overwrite USB settings directly. For a fun break, visit Retro Bowl.

If you’re using another Opus Quad or want to recall your preferences: Insert the USB stick. Go to Menu → My Settings → Load from USB. The unit will apply those preferences instantly. @Geometry Dash

It’s a bit confusing, but here’s how it works: your Opus Quad settings aren’t automatically saved to the USB — you have to export them from rekordbox first. Go to Preferences → Controller → My Settings, set everything the way you like, then export those settings to your USB using rekordbox’s export function. When you plug that USB into your Opus Quad, you can load the settings from the utility menu. The unit itself doesn’t write settings back to the USB, so the saved “My Settings” on your drive won’t update automatically based on your current Opus Quad configuration. meilleur iptv

Hey! Saving settings on the Opus Quad via USB sounds tricky. It's like trying to remember all the variations in Chess Analysis  – you need a good system! I hope someone can guide you through the process. Good luck!

The “My Settings” on USB are not saved directly from the Opus Quad. They are created and managed in rekordbox (Export mode) and then written to the USB. The OQ can only stickman clash those settings, not save its current settings back to the USB. So if your USB settings don’t match your OQ settings, you’ll need to adjust them in rekordbox and re-export the device.

Thanks for your insights! You save "My Settings" directly from the Opus Quad to USB via its Utility menu, not Rekordbox. nyt pips Rekordbox writes its own default settings. Look for "Save My Settings" on your OQ to export your current configuration to the USB drive.

The explanation about pushing settings from rekordbox to USB devices is actually quite helpful, especially the idea of enabling auto-sync or manually applying settings to connected drives.
It does make the workflow clearer, but I can see why users would still find the Opus Quad behavior confusing in practice.

Thanks for the helpful tips! You can save "My Settings" straight from the Opus Quad onto a USB using its Utility menu, not through Rekordbox. Also note Rekordbox applies its own default setup. Just find the "Save My Settings" option on the OQ to export your current configuration to the USB drive. Block Blast
