Nevermind, I already had everything back upped, the collection as well as the music files
to a USB drive the reinstall of RB worked without hitch, didn't even have to change any
user names, even tho they were different on the new PC
I'm getting a new PC, I always keep a current backup of my collection & music files to a USB hdd, will that backup be able to restore everything
, just like it was on my old PC, or do I need to back up the master database to that USB Hdd as well?
I do understand that the new PC must have the same name as the old PC
and that the files must be in the same location as before
just wanted to know if I have everything I need to do a restore of the collection & music files that are located on that USB hdd.
I tested it in rekordbox the other day, when I chose restore it restored everything
just like it was before, only thing was it took over 6hrs. to re-write the backup from the USB hdd.
I sure hope this will be a lot faster than 6hrs. as I will be using fresh install of rekordbox w/ no collection or music files on my new PC. should be faster that way?
