as I am looking for a used mixer to buy in addition to two CDJ 2000 Nexus, I have the choice between the DJM 450 and DJM 800. Both can be found used for around 500-600 bugs. The DJM 450 is newer but only has two channels. As I will mostly mix at home the 4 channels on the DJM 800 are nice to have but not a must. I am more interested in the effects and the overall sound quality.
Can anyone share his experience with both mixers and give a recommendation?

I'd suggest the 450 - so much more functionality than the aging DJM-800. If 4 channels are what's most important to you, then the 800 would be fine, but if it were me, I'd get the 450. You'll overcome the lack of extra channels with the other features on the 450.
