CDJ-2000 NXS2 Emergency Loop Error

Hi all,

For years I’ve been using 2 x 16GB Sandisk Cruzer Facet USB’s with no issues on CDJ’s and in December last year I decided to upgrade and buy 2 x 32GB Corsair Survivor Stealth USB’s. I opened them out of the packet and exported all my playlists to the USB’s on Rekordbox. When I used them for the first time, the first 30 mins they were fine, no issues at all. Then they started to open up the track and waveform really slowly and then one of the CDJ’s entered the emergency loop. I had to turn off the CDJ and turn it back on to fix the issue but it still kept happening.

I’ve since formatted both USB’s to FAT32 on my MacBook but the next time I was DJing, again they became really slow with the same issue. I’ve spoke to other DJ’s who use them and they have no issues so I’m confused to why I’m having an issue.

Just to advise I can’t say what firmware the CDJ’s were on as I play in different clubs around the UK. So I turn up and plug my USB’s in to play.

Any help is appreciated.
Thanks in advance
Ben

Unfortunately, I'd personally recommend moving away from the Survivor series drives. While beefy, robust, and decent in their speed, that's literally one of the only model of USB drives I know to be problematic with Pioneer DJ players (mostly the XDJs, but sometimes with CDJs).

My personal recommendations are the Corsair Voyager GTX and SanDisk Extreme Pro.
