Need insights with connecting Rekordbox performance software to club setup

Hello,

Soon i play in a club, the style is very difficult (with jumping beatgrids etc) so rekordbox comes in handy to get a visual underlining wavedisplay.

I'm not a professional with connecting stuff to eachother so i come ask some insights, i only have one shot and everything needs to be right.

Is it possible to just link the laptop with the performance software to the club equipment (CDJ 2000, NXS or NXS2 and a high tier DJM)?

Which connections and cables are required?

Are there settings that need to be adjusted in the CDJs?

Are there also required sound settings to get output from the DJ software?

Thanks, didn't know of that guide. now i am a bit further.

But there is still one thing, the guide mentions following:

"DJM mixers are not able to control rekordbox"

Is this just a visual thing (eg. if you turn the knobs nothing will turn on the screen)?

Can't test this out as i don't have cdj 2000 line and i want a perfectly working mixer

Pretty much. Depending on how it's set up, Rekordbox simply sends the audio for each deck to the CDJs or the mixer, and mixing and EQing is done entirely on the mixer.
