Importing Vinyl through Rekordbox

Hi Folks,

 

Looking some views on the attached to maximise the import of vinyl to digital and the associated quality of same.

 

I have a Pioneer DDJ-RR control and wired into it a Audi Technica USB ATLP120 turntable.

The DDJ-RR controller is onward linked to a Marantz PM6005 Amplifier.

1. When connecting to the DDJ - Line or phono connection from the turntable for quality?

 

I'm conscious that as the turntable has a built in switchable pre-amp and the output of sound is ultimately through the DDJ-RR and out to the amp, for sound a line connection is probably best as not to compete with the Marantz amp.

 

However, question is will a line connection however impact on the quality of the import of vinyl through rekordbox?

2. Are there any others settings I should consider on Rekordbox or on my DDJ-RR controller to maximise the quality of the vinyl import?
