I have been enjoying trouble free operation of my XDJ-RX for about a year, keeping up with any firmware (v2.21) or software (v5.2.3 rev.14414-13745-13746 x64) updates. Recently now in the last month or so, the unit is freezing up during sets and has to be shut off and rebooted to get it to unlock. I have tried reinstalling software and drivers on the computer but am still having issues.
I am connected directly to a computer via USB cable (not LAN or USB stick). The issue seems to arise during previewing tracks before loading. Once I turn off the XDJ unit, the Rekordbox software on the computer will unfreeze and continue to play. I then reboot the XDJ and press the MIDI button and I am all good again. So it appears to be an XDJ issue vs a Rekordbox or software issue...but what do I know.
Another issue I am experiencing is when using the XDJ simply as an audio out interface for my computer, it will often start to regularly dip or grind the audio. Here is a link to an audio file that is just a pad so you can here how it is affected by the XDJ interface...https://drive.google.com/file/d/1iEqDP_j-z-dtZ2WHPFGec805s2U4ROOK/view?usp=sharing and then I can reset this temporarily by unplugging and replugging the USB cable and not having to reboot the XDJ then the audio is proper...https://drive.google.com/file/d/18PyXvaIaLCruTCoLJ8VT-9B7TBdbUXns/view?usp=sharing . After a while the issue returns.
Questions I have are:
What is the preferred audio driver selection I should be using? Options are...
Windows Audio: Line (PIONEER XDJ-RX) | Realtek Digital Audio
ASIO: ASIO4ALL v2 | XDJ-RX ASIO
Is there a way or need to factory reset the XDJ unit?
Is there an error log created somwhere for either the unit or the software on the computer?
Is there other information I can provide to help resolve this issue/problem?
Thank you for any help or assistance on this.
