Interface 2 not meant for regular vinyl play?

Bumped into this thread on Reddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/DJs/comments/8srpy4/anyone_has_any_experience_with_denon_ds1/

If true that feels like a bad decision. A number of DJs are leaving Traktor because they stopped innovating. Not every DJ has a Pioneer mixer at home so it was a match in heaven.

Are there plans to improve on the Phono Out side of (future) audio interface units?

"Sadly Pioneer has admitted that Interface 2 has a faulty Phono Preamp"

...except, we haven't. Nobody ever said that. If you read the quote, it says that the phono is converted to line and that was the priority (as most would be using the IF2 as a DVS interface).  It doesn't say anything about it being faulty.

I wasn't focused on the sentence that said faulty. I was more focused on this sentence

"Unfortunately, PHONO OUT was not prioritized so that it may not be as good as when using the LINE OUT. "

I agree that the IF2 will be used for DVS for about 70-80%. Still I'd liked to have seen some development on the PHONO Out side for those that carry around a crate of vinyl along the IF2 for those rare moments.
