Yep, you could certainly do that. If you're looking for a low-cost alternative just to play timecode CDs, why not look at a used CDJ-850, CDJ-900, or CDJ-2000 (original models)?
Just a simple question that I haven't been able to find a positive answer as of yet. At the moment I use 2 pioneer cdj1000 mk3 through traktor audio 10 interface with traktor Pro 2. Last week one of my cdj broke so I'm left with one so it was either buy another cdj1000 or upgrade and my thoughts were to upgrade. So I have seen a new pioneer cdj 900 nexus but with the price could only afford to buy one. I just wanted to know could I still use this nexus 900 through my traktor audio 10 interface in conjuction with my pioneer cdj 1000 mk3 using time code cd's. So basically using it like I did with the old pioneer cdj 1000 mk3?
Please someone help as I am so desperate to get back mixing but without have to buy a full setup.

Or if you don't play CDs other than the timecodes, get an XDJ-700 or second-hand XDJ-1000 MK1, rip the timecode to WAV files and put them on a USB stick.
