I want to use the advance rekordbox functions of keyboard & key shift mode on my DDJ-RR. In performance mode I can change the function on my laptop (MAC - OS High Sierra 10.13.5) and perform by using the laptop mouse pad.... but I want to use the performance pads.
Do have to midi map? Im happy to sacrifice the slicer & slicer loop function so I can use this....but how do I go about remapping?
OR is there a more straightforward hack that I've not thought about

You could do that with the pads - open the MIDI editor and start assigning functions. If you are in LEARN mode, you press the pad you want to use, and it says "already in use" you can remove it from that other function.
Many thanks. Have now mapped the keyboard and key shift functions to channels 3&4 where I swapped out the slicer/slicer Koop for these functions
