NXS2 + DJ PRO Link - Hot Cue Loading Issue

Hey All. I've got a standard setup of 2 CDJ-2000NXS2's, 1 DJM-900, all running latest firmware versions and connected via LAN to a small switching hub.

Deck 1 is set to USB.

Deck 2 is set to Link.

When I plug a USB 3.0 drive into deck 1, load a file (mp3) and start adding hot cues, then go to deck two and load the same track, it will only sometimes load all the hot cues that were added from deck 1.

How do I UPDATE or SAVE the hot cues on the USB drive, so that deck 2 can access and load those hot cues?

FYI, both decks have "Autoload Hot Cues" set to "On"

Thanks.

If you load the same track that is currently playing, that function is effectively an "instant doubles" and the hot cues are not loaded as the player prioritizes the function of immediate playback rather than attempting to buffer the hot cues to memory. If you wanted to do that, load the track (it will likely start playing at the same spot at the other deck), then press CUE to stop it, press the CALL button (in the middle of the 3 buttons at the bottom of the hot cues), then press each of the blinking hot cue buttons to call / store them).

How the track is loaded affects whether or not the hot cues are loaded, regardless of the "Auto Load" setting. By which method did you load the track to the other deck?

LINK button is highlighted. Then I press BROWSE and use the rotary selector and scroll to [HISTORY] on the USB device. Should I be navigating somewhere else to get the currently playing track from the other deck?

I noticed in the official manual that tracks are only added to the history playlists after they've been playing for 1 minute:

  • Tracks that have been played for approximately 1 minute are stored on the playing history list.

Is there a way to load ALL of the hot-cues, even ones added from Deck A, loaded onto Deck B?

Below is an image of the setup I'm using (Just USB, no computer). Thanks for the help.
