Just to add,
The strobe fast/medium/slow/off functions work, and the strobe almost functions correctly with the software. But it always keeps on flashing at a fast speed with little light output, when there is no strobe configured in the macro editor.
So even with no input from rekordbox, the strobe flashes with a low light output. The software overrides this when strobe has been configured in the macro browser. After some strobe around the drop, the strobe again starts to just continue flashing with very low light output.
