I was hoping this would be fixed in the latest release but nope. You load a track and the UI becomes unresponsive. A few moments things start to work but then you do something like scroll through the playlist or add a track and the UI chokes up. 5.3 and 5.4 have been unusable for me.
I've tested a fresh install win10 laptop and on my desktop. Fast CPUS, SSD's and lots of ram. Same result. I tested with my large library and a new library with just a few tracks. Rekordbox needs some work.

What kind of processor are you using?
I have the same issue. Just downloaded about 2 weeks ago when I purchased the DDJ-1000 and I don't feel I can use this at a gig. I do hope they fix it soon.

I have a similar issue. I have been using rekordbox last weeks, and sometimes the program have slowdowns, and the UI as well the audio are affected, sometimes the audio became distorted througth the master and headphones outputs. And all of this is not a computer power issue.
This don't give me the confience of use the software at a gig or any kind of event. the MOST important feature of a PRO software is reliability, in all the 5 years that i used traktor it only crashed 1 time, and it was because a corrupted song.

Had similar experiences, mostly when I prepared tracks in export mode and then switched to performance mode the program would be really sluggish.
I set the .exe to run as administrator since then I didn't encounter the problem anymore.
