I have Itunes 12.8- recently I created play lists on iTunes and all the lists and there contents synced with rekordbox.
Now I have downloaded some new music but when I sync and refresh the iTunes list on rekordbox the new songs will not show. I have tried to drag them across and it didn't work either. I then put the new songs in a new playlist called new in o.
The. playlist folder now shows on rekordbox but none of the music inside.
All settings are correct for sharing iTunes library in xml etc
any ideas?

Had the same thing happening to me. Enabling the Rekordbox Sync Manager (lower left hand corner in the Rekordbox screen) for iTunes fixed all issues.
I do all my collection management in iTunes as well if you're interested in my entire workflow watch this video got all the tips how to's and explanations in it

I tried looking lower left side but only saw how you select from iTunes library/ refresh etc

yes went into export mode and found sync manager. Tried it and it copied the playlists bot not the content. So music I downloaded on iTunes and put in the new file, do now show on the iTunes new folder in RB nor do tracks. downloaded through iTunes for Shazam
those tracks may be DRM protected, I think music downloaded thru iTunes never show up (in any DJ platform). I simply use iTunes as collection manager nothing more nothing less.
so frustrating as two weeks ago when I created all the play lists in iTunes they all copied across perfectly. seems to be just tracks I have added since then to itunes
I not have these two symbols where I tried to import the playlist- I tried refreshing but nothing happened
make sure the syncing is enabled, don't forget you'll have to quit iTunes to update the XML here is the link to explanation I gave on the Native Instruments forum.
