Pioneer DDJ SX3 unassigned Hot Cue pads are NOT pre-lit

Is this normal? or do i have a faulty controller?

Please fix this issue on the SX3 controllers.  It sucks not being able to see the pads in a dark DJ booth.  I confirmed on two different SX3 controllers that this is how it looks.  Other controllers like the SR2 have pre-lit hot cues.  I spoke with Pioneer Support and they said it is supposed to be pre-lit.  The replacement sent to me is still not pre-lit (so i assume that this is how Pioneer designed it)

Can this be fixed via a software update on the controller?
