New MAC installation- problem with Link and new firmware

Hello

So I bought XDK RX2 a few months ago and all was set up great using my ex computer. Then we broke up and she took the computer with her.

I have just bought a new Mac with the latest Sierra on it (12?) and have downloaded rekordbox and the software etc When I now plug in the USB link cable, firstly Link does not appear so at the moment it will only allow me to use Midi. is this because I am using trial period for rekordbox, whilst I wait for my ex to be nice and un register her pc and give me my license key back or is it another issues? I tried downloading the software for the link cable and it still doesn't offer link in rekordbox mode.

Also for the new firmware from September, I try downloading that to the Mac and then it says I have no program to open it. In short I can't download the new firmware either.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can fix both as its so frustrating.

Many Thanks

Paul Varley

Link only works with rekordbox in EXPORT mode, not PERFORMANCE mode. Yes, you need to have the link export drivers installed, but it's also important that immediately following the driver installation on High Sierra (I'm guessing that's what you have?), you disable the driver security, then install the driver again to ensure it's been applied.
