2000 NXS2 hot cue question.

I have just got a set of NXS2 players and when I turn one on with no media in it hot cue A comes on purple the rest are white. It appears to work properly when a tune is playing, I can set the hot cue and it will go red and I can delete it again but it will go back to purple and not white.

On the other deck they all start white and become coloured when the cues are set. Once deleted they all return to white as I guess they should.

Does anyone have any idea why it’s behaving like this. Obviously doesn’t affect performance but Could suggest a fault?

Cheers

Ollie

Does it ever go to any other colours -- like green? Because the white colour is created by mixing red + green + blue light, if it's showing purple, it's possible the green element of the diode has failed so it's only mixing red + blue. That would explain it working for recording (red), but then if you flip it back to playback mode after it's recorded, it would possibly go dark, because it's supposed to be green (no red OR blue).

Hi, your right, looks like the diode is broken. Have ordered a new board.

Thanks
