ddi-1000 no sound

Operating System: Mac OSX Mojave

Hi I recently picked up a DDJ-1000 with Rekordbox. I have toyed with this thing for a couple of days trying to get the audio to work and I'm honestly running out of patience. The firewall on my computer is off also.I have tried the following:

Making sure the DDj-1000 is updated to firmware 1.0.5(most current driver). Uninstalling the audio driver and restarting then reinstalling the driver, but no it can't be that easy. I read the online manual and troubleshooting provided by Pioneer and still nothing, Adjusting the trim and master volume settings. I even tried different USB adapters for the MacBook and nothing. The DDJ-1000 is being recognized in every part of the computer including the sound settings, it even knows when I have bluetooth headphones connected. 

Anyone have any solutions because all the ones from pioneer have super dead links that don't get anything done.
