One freeze / crash is very difficult to diagnose and even harder to resolve. If you're able to replicate it consistently, then we have somewhere to start.

xdj-rx2 dead!
After about 3h last night at an event a song played. I pressed usb2/back i mean at the same time, then the player stood still, the display was freezing, no music/no microphone sound came out of the xlr main outs, the xdj was virtually dead, only a restart helped and everything worked after that again for more than 2 hours - It was the first time since I have the xdj-rx2 more than half a year.
usb 1 samsung ssd, usb 2 sandisk 128gb stick
my own mp3 on the samsung ssd all are checked with mp3val, no problems before! the song played at the time the xdj-rx2 froze came from a friendly stick, he never checked the mp3. can this be one of the idea!?

Did you move or jolt the usb connection? i.e did you stand on subs or got low frequencies in the booth or stands?
And when it froze did it light up like a Christmas tree?
