If you optimize windows i think you will not have too many problems with RB,i suggest to install an SSD if the 1tb stock is a standard hard disk,or(my personal experience) check for an used Macbook pro..

Purchase of new laptop
Hi There
I am purchasing a new laptop for my Rekordbox software. I am using a Pioneer DJM 250 Mk2 and two pioneer PLX 1000's.
I have heard that an i5 or i7 is best to run Pioneer Rekordbox. I am tending toward a Dell 13 5000 Laptop which is $749. It has an 8th generation i5 chip with 8GB of memory and a 1TB of hard drive space. I hear that it is better to have 16GB or even 8GB of memory when running Rekordbox. However someone said that Dell is not a great brand as they use their low stock line to assemble the laptops which make them hard to fix. Does anyone know of any other brands I can use? Such as Toshiba, Hp etc. I heard Asus is a good brand but when I look at HP website the laptops are more expensive and they like to use AMD chips which I am not considering.
Any recommendations would be great so I can use my Rekordbox software with my mixer and turntables when I am out on the road.
Regards

Hi There
Thanks for your input Stefano.
I have decided to go with a Lenovo idea pad 130 - 6V 15.6 inch laptop. It has an 8th generation i7, 1.8 GHZ with 8 GB of memory and 1TB of Hard drive space for $888. It is on sale at my local retailer so I am going next week to collect it. Is this a good laptop to get for using Record box? I guess it ticks all the boxes with processor type, Ram etc. Is it worth forking out an extra couple of hundred dollars to get these fancy Window Laptops that have silver keyboards, gaming etc? Or should I just stick with this one? The other ones retail at about $1200 and they vary from type to brand.
Any help would be great.

Hi There
Why do I need to install an extra SSD Card?
Is that to load my music? Quick boot up time etc?
The Lenovo Think pad comes without one.

Hi There
I do not like buying 2nd hand laptops.
I think that it is a bit "Buy and Beware" and you never quite know where they have been. I was looking at Mac books but changed my mind as they are expensive and I am sure that a Windows laptop can do the same job.
