XDJ RX2 Switching from USB to Performance Mode

Hi, before purchasing, I just want to check if its possible to live switch from performance mode using a laptop, to an external USB seamlessly on the RX2.

I assume it is fine, but just want to check. The unit will be used for two Djs playing, one who uses analysed USB sticks exported from Rekordbox, and will plug it straight into the RX2, and the other Dj will use Rekordbox on a laptop in performance mode. Just want to make sure switching back and forth is smooth if they are playing back to back.
