PLAY button stopped working . XDJ1000mk2

situation:

The play button on my XDJ stopped working.

the track plays because it auto starts, but the cue button doesnt work

if i put it ibnto a loop then the cue button works but i cant then hit play to keep it working.

repair:

i replaced the board with the play, pause and other transport buttons on it but i get the exact same behaviour.

i spent a long time before the board purchase trying to reset the machine, re-load settings, re-install firmware etc because i figured it would be a software issue, when I couldnt find a solution i moved onto replacing the board.

i was using the XDJ with prolink.

Its behaving almost like some kind of lock/protection has been appied to the play button which i could imagine possible and useful but i cant find it anywhere in the manualk

any help greatly appreciated,

thanks

Enable AUTOCUE by pressing and holding the AUTOCUE button on screen; when you load a track, does the CUE button then illuminate?

Try this as well - play a song, then press PLAY/PAUSE to pause playback, then press CUE... does it create a master cue point there?

Hi

thanks for your response

question one works, yes, but the track will not play because the play button is not lit and won't work.

question 2 doesnt work because the play/pause button flat out doesnt work.

given this doesnt look like an issue with the board with the buttons is there any way to completely reset a machine? i tried to re-flash it but it wont.

A service shop would be able to tell you the amount of time needed for repair. You can order replacement parts to try and do it yourself, but we don't recommend that unless the unit is out of warranty and you know what you're doing... additionally, we can't provide instructions or assistance on those repairs.
