XDJ1000mk2 Hot Cues Jumping Tracks

My XDJ1000mk2 is being weird. When I tried to add a hot cue to a track that has none, some of the bank spots are filled already, and when I press them it goes to a hot cut on a different track in the playlist. You can see it in this video here:

If the player is not set to automatically load hot cues on track load, or you have loaded the track via keyword search, instant doubles, or track navigation buttons (as opposed to using one of the browse menus), it won't load the hot cues, so they'll remain in memory from a previous track.

It must be set to load hot cues as the other tracks with hot cues loaded as normal. I was playing a prepared list and I always use the Browse > scroll > select function, and never the next track button.

Why would the hot cues from the previous track ever be needed in the bank of the current track? Do people use that? Or is it just a bug?

Believe it or not, it was used back in the days of CDs to allow DJs who were doing performance / juggling / battles to load a CD and quickly have access to three different audio points across the CD. It's a legacy thing that's moved forward - even now users can store hot cue banks (for use on the CDJ2000 family only... maybe the XDJ-1000's, I can't recall?) and that allows for a similar function; playing from different tracks just by hitting the hot cue.

OK thanks for the explanation. I still need to resolve the issue though as it's annoying me. Is there a menu option to turn it off somewhere?
