Rekordbox Lighting - How to add strobe FX?

I am able to see in existing tracks where strobes have been added, so I am trying to duplicate this. I even copy/paste the wave triangle and paste it in a different section, but it won't work. I have selected the 4 bars that I want to work with, right clicked, and have enabled strobe mode and the dashes are present. I am trying have the strobes going for all 4 blocks, so I have a square waveform. This yields no triggering of the strobes. Is there something I'm missing here?
