Couple of doubts about CDJ 2000 Nxs2

Hi, this is Germán, sound guy from Pacha Ibiza..

Got a couple of questions for you guys..

First one is about our cdj2000nxs2, when is working linked (3-4 of them) I have seen sometimes in the screen where the number of cdj is displayed, a couple of red parenthesis beside this number, and I dont really know what its means...

Also my second questions is about the jog adjust. We bought on April four cdjs more, and we notice that the jog at maximum of the pot of 'Jog Adjust' is quite less strong than our old cdjs.. In fact, yesterday we got a complaint of a very important dj during his session about this, because he was playing with four cdjs, 2 of them was old ones and the other 2 was of the new ones.. He could feel the difference between them, and it was not good for his performance.

Dont know if is a known problem of Pioneer DJ, or its just our last stock of cdjs was faulty because those four got same problem.

Anyway want to know if there is posible to adjust stronger manually or something, or we have to send them to the technical service.

Hi German,

The red parenthesis around the player number simply indicates that player is "on air" (the channel of the mixer it's connected to has audio going to the master in some capacity).

As for the jog adjust, it is a mechanical tension adjustment and can vary from player to player and over time. It can be adjusted internally, however we do not recommend users perform this adjustment themselves (as we are unable to provide the detailed instructions on doing so), and would direct you to contact an authorized service centre in your region for assistance.

Hy German,

the Adjustment of the Tension is not really hard as it is the same process like on every other cdj model.

just Google the Service Manual for the nxs or check some yt Videos where it is desribed and can easily done by yourself.

Or, you could just take the profit the club makes from selling a couple of bottles of spirits and buy some new ones? (Leave the old ones in the trash at the back. I'll be round later...)
