I had a problem with my USB stick - it has to be formatted MS-DOS FAT or FAT32 and you have to make sure it is formatted as Master Boot Record. Once I had sorted that then it was fine.

Toriaz sp 16. Can’t update to 1.6 from 1.4
I cannot update my sp 16. I’m a day one owner used to firmware updates. Cannot update from 1.4 to 1.6. Just stays on the blue screen.
Used 5 different thumb drives. 4 are brand new .
It will install 1.4 from usb drive. But not 1.6. I have all the updates
Saved on my computer. Nothing happens it sits there left for 10 minutes came back nothing. Any ideas
Any way to possibly mass storage usb the update????
Been waiting for the two FX. Per slot

Yes is should be easy as pie I’ve tried with numerous usb thumb drives . 4 new ones formatted in same manner .
I wiped 2 reformatted them put version 1.4 on them they install 1.4. Because I have save all my old firmware updates . But 1.6 just sits there does nothing.

when I updated to 1.6 from 1.5 the the toriaz froze.using iMac running
after a brief moment of panic. (The Toriaz once in update mode won't power off )
** I just pulled the failed usb out replacing with new usb **
which id reinstalled the update again after reformatting my usb stick again but did it on my MacBook running the apple OS Catalina this time. worked 1st time took about 30 seconds .
