Using tempo based effects in Traktor Scratch Pro 3 while external mixing with DJM9--nxs2

I am using traktor scratch pro 3 and external mixing using DJM-900 nxs2 and 2 CDj.  I want to use the tempo base effects in Traktor but they don't sync up with the track tempo.  Is there any way to have them be tempo sync'd via DJM-9-- nxs2?

I use to have a Traktor Kontrol s4 and internally mixed where the effects were sync'd.
