I was just trying to install an innofader in my old DJM 707, which has been a total workhorse and great for at least 10 years. I was having trouble getting the new fader to work right and I have the faceplate off the mixer and the crossfader wasn't screwed down as I was adjusting it. Then I may have disconnected the fader while the unit was on, I'm not positive that it was on but it may have been. When I reconnected the fader, I noticed the mixer wouldn't power up.
It still won't power up. The troubleshooting portion of the manual only suggests making sure it's plugged in, if it won't power up. I'm wondering if there is a fuse or something like that in this unit?
Any ideas are appreciated.
Sorry but past our ability here. You should reach out to a tech center that could take a look at the mixer and see if anything was damaged when changing out the crossfader...
