XDJ-XZ USB Sporadic Error E-8307

Just received my XDJ-XZ running firmware 1.0

I have a 128gb Sandisk Extreme Pro that I normally use for club gigs (HFS+ and about half full). It works normally on NXS1 and NXS2 units.

For some reason when it's plugged into my XDJ-XZ about 70% of the time I get a 8307 error. I hit USB stop, eject the unit and try again and eventually it loads all my songs.

Never had an issue with CDJs.

As you know, this is a high quality SSD thumbdrive that is used by many touring DJs and is on the 'approved' list that pulse put out previously. I checked the disk utility on my mac and have uploaded the diagnostic information below.

First aid returns a normal drive:

Here is the disk information:

Lastly the error screen on the unit:

I've tried using both USB ports on the XDJ with no increase in success rate.  Interestingly, I noticed on my drive that there is only a contents/ folder, not a pioneer/ folder.  On my other (older) Sandisk Extreme Pro drives there is both contents/ and pioneer/, but those are FAT32 drives.

Any suggestions? In the interm, I'm formatting it as FAT32 to see if that makes a difference and retrying on my unit.

Awesome!  The best approach with USB drives and Pioneer DJ gear that uses thoses drives is to always go Fat32!!

Yes, format the drive to FAT 32 and then try to use it again.  Please report back..

@Jay

So before I saw your message I tried to figure out why some USBs worked and my one 128gb one  didn't (All are Sandisk Extreme Pro). Turns out the ones that worked 100% of the time were all FAT32.

I took the offending drive, reformatted FAT32 and sync'd up my 7000 tracks and it works perfectly now.

Thanks

Cool, Pionner and when the flash drive does not have the option of formatting in FAT32, only exFAT and NTFs, how do you do it?
The devices do not work with drives larger than 32GB after formatting?
Well, that's what happens, from the factory the flash drives respond, just format and they don't recognize anymore.
I tested and the same happens in XDJ-R1, RX, RX2, RX3, CDJ 2000, 2000NX2 E 3000.
How to do ?
