Did you press the master CUE button?

Hello, so I've recently received the XDJ-XZ in the mail not too long ago and finally got around to plugging in.
Now, I don't have the controller set up to any speakers for the time being as I am still awaiting my speakers to come in. So I figured I could just plug my headphones in and mix with a Cue/Master mix just through the headphones, and I am noticing that there is no audio coming through the headphones. I just hear a very minimal white noise that sounds normal if there were no audio playing. I kind of just assumed that I could mix for the time being with my headphones.
I've made sure the faders are up, cue knobs are adjusted accordingly. I am not sure if I'm missing something. Does anyone have any input? I am hoping this isn't a defective device.

Did you press the master CUE button?

I have an xdj 1000 mk 2..Since the last firmware update, deck 1 has not lit cue button wen playing the track.only wen you hit the button does it start acting normal???
@Junior > It sounds like your XZ isn't automatically setting a cue; if you have AUTO CUE disabled then it won't create one when you load the track, so you'd have to play/pause, then cue to set the main cue point.
I have an issue on my XDJ-XZ as well, when played standalone using a usb the XZ wont create an AUTO-CUE. In utility the auto cue is set to default -60db. Am I missing something here?
One other thing is when hot cue is set and pressed it will immediately play the song instead of cue-ing. is there anyway to set this up to cue only as can be done in Recordbox?
