CDJ 2000 Loop out returns to track start

I have two CDJ-2000s, using one USB drive, connected by link.  The CDJ-2000 with the USB inserted is the one having the problem.  Whenever I try to make a loop, I press the "IN" button, then the "OUT" button, but as soon as I press "OUT" the track returns to it's beginning and starts over.  There's no way to adjust this as far as I have been able to find.  The weird thing is that the CDJ connected by LINK does not have this problem.  Please help - not being able to loop on one of the CDJ's is very annoying.
