FolgenXDJ-RR Firmware doesn't start update
I'm trying to use my XDJ-RR as an audio input device for my iMac running OS10.15.3
After successfully installing the latest XDJ-RR mac drivers, I can now select the XDJ as an OUTPUT device only. I suspect that I may need to update the firmware on my XDJ (it's running 1.0 and current firmware is 1.03), which lead to my next problem:
I'm following this firmware update guide -- but when I insert my properly formatted flash drive (with the unzipped .UPD on the root drive) into USB slot 1, nothing happens. The message "Connect USB storage device into top USB port ." remains on screen and no update begins.
I've tried erasing and reformatting the flash drive, and I've checked the Pioneer MacOS 10.15 compatibility here -- which lists the XDJ-RR's status as: Verification complete.
I'd love any help trouble shooting the firmware update, BUT my end goal here is use the XDJ-RR as an AUDIO INPUT device for my mac... so if there's steps to achieve this outside of a firmware update I'd like to know as well. Thanks!

^ I used all of the above actions in the Troubleshooting guide, but I'm still having the same issue.
The screen just show the same Connect USB storage device message as if I didn't insert a USB at all.
I've already reformatted the USB. And re-downloaded the file to make sure.
Did you check the FILE name?
Is it the same word for word as XDJRR.UPD?
Does not work if the FILE name is different even by one character
@McKagan > The drive also needs to be formatted FAT32 with MBR (Master Boot Record). Not NTFS, not exFAT, not HFS+ (Mac).
