XDJ RX2 Recording Audio to PC

Hello,

I want to stream a DJ set using my HP laptop from XDJ - RX2 decks.  I have audio routed from Master Outputs going into an adapter that takes both left and right wires(channels) and puts them into one AUX wire and then into the AUX port of my laptop.  I thought this method would work but no audio is coming into the laptop.  I am not sure if I missing another piece of equipment, I am just lost at this point.  Can anyone help please?
