I went to turn on one of my XDJ700's which had been working fine, but the power adapter/brick was really hot and the player wasn't turning on. I tried another power adapter as a process of elimination and the player came on.
It turns out the issue is the 2nd part of the adapter which connects to the player.
The adapter is the same as my DJM-450 mixer also which says there a 12V 2A adapter and I can only find a 12v 3A adapter?
Can anybody tell me the difference? or where I can buy the exact correct adapter? (fits both DJM-450 or XDJ-700).

There are many aftermarket sellers. As far as using a 12V 3A for a 12V 2A product, you would be fine since the product is only drawing the 2A from the adapter and the voltage stays the same at 12V.
