Hebrew Characters (Songs Names) on XDJ-RX2

Henrew characters (songs names) on the XDJ-RX2 controller display screen aren't being read, and instead appear as (~~~~).

Upon looking through here, it looks like Pioneer fixed this issue in software (in Rekordbox) but not in hardware -- or at least not in the XDJ-RX2 controller.

Is there a workaround other than having to have your laptop? If you are an Israeli DJ, not being able to read Hebrew characters on the controller beats the purpose of buying this controller. 

Please advise asap.
