DDJ 1000 Rekordbox Glitching While Using OBS

Hi,

I've posted about this problem a while ago, but have since upgraded my Macbook Pro with a new 1TB SSD, and also upgraded new 16GB RAM, but the problem still exists.

Running the DDJ 1000 alone plays fine (taking up around 30'ish CPU), but running it along with OBS (taking around 75/80'ish CPU) causes the DDJ 1000 to act really erratic after a short time, anywhere from 20 minutes in to sometimes an hour - e.g. the main problem is the sound becomes glitchy like a Trans effect on 1/4 beats, and sometimes accompanied by the tracks skipping back and forth, and/or the buttons become unresponsive. The Rekordbox software on the Macbook seems to run as normal.

Turning the power off an on the controller usually fixes the issue for a short while until it happens again.

I've reinstalled the Driver and Firmware running on the latest version of Rekordbox 6.5.2, and everything is up to date as far as I can tell. As well as lowering all settings on OBS which may help put less stress on the CPU. I also turned off the Macs 'Turboboost' function as suggested in a my previous post.

Only thing i'm not 100% about is whether the Driver for this model is correct (DDJ-1000_M_1.1.0.dmg?), and whether I've used the correct procedure to remove the old one, and install the new one, but i'm sure i have.

I have attached a Youtube video for a look at the issue - https://youtu.be/emrXBjcpjWk

Any help and suggestions with this issue would be greatly appreciated.

Macbook Pro (15-inch, early 2011)

MacOS - High Sierra 10.13.6

Processor - 2GH Intel Core i7

SSD 1TB (New, 750GB free..)

Memory - 16GB 1600MHz DDR3 (New)

Graphics - AMD Radion HD 6490M 256 MB, Intel HD Graphics 300 512 MB

Rekordbox Version 6.5.2

Firmware Version 1.12

Driver 3.0.0 (DDJ-1000_M_1.1.0.dmg -- Is this correct Driver for this model??)

I'm having the exact same issue. I run Catalina and it happens on both my Mac Mini (2018 model) and MacBook Pro 16". It's pretty random and doesn't happen often. When it does happen it can occur after 15 minutes of operation or 2 hours. The only way to clear it is to power cycle the mixer.

I've tried different USB ports cables etc and nothing helps.

Are you also running OBS? or does it happen with just running your controller?

It has happened with OBS always open from memory. It has happened in these two configs:

1. OBS and Rekordbox on the same computer

2. Rekordbox on Mac Mini and OBS on Mac Book Pro - in this config USB-A for Rekordbox and USB-B for OBS.

I use Loopback to capture the output of the master audio into OBS in both configurations.

Hmm... i would have thought using 2 separate Macbooks would have solved the issue.

Hope we hear something back from this, I don't see much active support recently in the forums here.
