Cue / MIx option

Pioneer DDJ-SB3.  When I turn up channel 1 and 2 the sounds comes through my headphones even though the cue button is not pressed.  If i have both channels up, the sound from both channels comes through my headphones without the cue buttons 1 and 2 being depressed.  Is there a way to fix this issue?
