Recording on XDJ - RX2

Since owning my XDJ-RX2 I haven't been able to record properly because the file types that are produced after I record are always a .pnb file type - something I've never seen before. Whenever I attempt to record I'll place two USB Drives in each of the 2 available ports on my RX2 (based on feedback from friends). Both USB's are formatted correctly for use within Rekordbox and on my XDJ (I have used both USB's to play). I select Record and my XDJ will stop me and let me know if the USB that I'm using is too full to record on so I know it's reading the flash drive correctly. But once I go through a mix, press my record button again to end recording, and then safely remove the usb in port 2 that I recorded on, for whatever reason when I go to find the recorded file on my computer, the only file types that are provided in my Rekordbox recordings folders are .pnb file types. Everyone I've spoken with that has owned an XDJ RX2 hasn't ever had issues with recording. Not sure If I have to change my settings within rekordbox or if I need to change something on the XDJ itself but bottom line I cannot open these .pnb file types and I'm never able to upload any of my mixes. PLEASE HELP!

Attempted it again tonight and now the file type that was produced at the end of my mix was a "playlist3.sync" file. Previously the file type I would get after recording a mix was a .pdb file (not a .pnb like I previously mentioned).

Still am not at all sure what a "playlist3.sync" file is - still very much need help.
