Pioneer DDJ1000 and Traktor Kontrol z2

Just a quick question and I think I already know the answer, but can't confirm it anywhere. I'm doing a gig this weekend with a friend, we have different systems and want to do back to back. He doesn't want to move all his tracks over to Rekordbox and I definitely don't want to move it all over to Traktor.2

The idea is to use the master out from the Z2 into a channel on the Pioneer DDJ1000 and then connect to the sound system from there. Is that possible? I'm assuming it is as it can go into line in on the back of one of the Pioneer channels. Then to sort out the levels from the Z2 into the DDJ1000 via setting the master on the Z2.

If we go with this, is there an issue with the Z2 and the preamp, will the output levels need to be lower?
