DDJ-1000 sound cuts out randomly

I updated my Macbook Air (early 2014) to macOS 11.6.5 last Saturday and I am having a sound issue. I have monitors connected to the master out on the DDJ-1000 by XLR cables, when I'm playing the sound randomly cuts out. This can occur after about 30-60 minutes of use, but has also happened after just a few minutes.

I also updated Rekordbox the same day to 6.6.1 and it forced me to update the firmware for the DDJ-1000 after the update. I have tried deleting/re-installing the firmware and it's not resolved things.

When it happens it still shows the DDJ-1000 selected as the sound source in the settings, all the corresponding LEDs blink for the channels that have the up faders open, if you hit something on the deck it still functions as it should on the screen (such as loops/pads etc), but the master output on the deck has no sound coming out (and the master LED's don't blink), the only fix is to select a different sound output in settings (such as through the Macbook internal speakers) and then re-select the DDJ-1000 after to 'kick it in to life', or hitting the icon on the top right in Rekordbox (the PC icon) to make sound output through the Macbook as well as the DDJ-1000.

When it happens it does still show in the settings that it is connected to the DDJ-1000 and this is still highlighted as the output for the various channels (including the master) and headphones, the settings all show as they should, including the DDJ-1000 selected for the driver, but there is no sound coming through the speakers. It also seems to happen if I leave the DDJ-1000 turned on but not in use, for example if I come back to it after a period of time away. When I start to play something the glitch has kicked in.

Prior to last weekend this was not an issue and otherwise there is no performance issues at all and the software runs smooth, I have also seen a post on Reddit from another user also on MacOS who is having the same issue, there have been comments from a few who are in the same boat so I suspect this is Rekordbox/firmware related.

For the avoidance of doubt I am on a different version of MacOS to the others having the same issue (they were on 12.3) so I don't think this is because I am on an old MacOS.

Hi, I have the same problem. Is there a solution in the meantime?
