USING DDJ 1000 or SRT with both software

Hi I have ddj1000 is there anyway to have a firmware update where the DDJ1000 and SRT  or sx3 users can use rekordbox or serato on one controller

I use rekordbox but my partner uses serato

we use the sz but we wanna get a smaller controller to carry around like the DDJ 1000 or SX3 size  that have dual usb input and we can use both software.

users like me already have the 1000 or SRT it would be nice now to have a update or firmware open for both software maybe this could be a possibility.
