XDJ 700 to XDJ RX2 music source link

I know this has been discussed here and there on this post, but I have an XDJ RX2 at my home studio and love it. Our production company is looking to step up from bringing around our laptops and DDJ 1000s to our shows we put on. I want to test the 700 without 1) buying two of them and 2) without getting another mixer yet. We won't be using the RX2 for club setups (because I don't want to lug it).

For testing purposes, is it possible to use the 700's ethernet link port and connect it to a USB B adapter to plug into the RX2 to get music? I use my RX2 with a USB stick and seldom use rekordbox anymore when playing. I am going to hook up the 700 into the RX2's CH 1 Line port and switch on the mixer, but want to know if it's possible to link the 700 to the RX2 using one USB...alternative would be to connect the USB from 700 direct to rekordbox?
