XDJ-XZ - usb device gives an error of corrupt error

Hi Guys,

In the past week I have used a USB device that gives an error saying it is or has a corrupt file structure (sorry I forgot to write down the exact error message).

Then after this error the XDJ-XZ sort of freezes, well I can't acces or stop the USB drive without switching off the controller.

Is there a work around for not having to switch off the controller during a DJ set so that I can swap the USB device or switch to a different connected USB device?

Thank you for your help.

Kind regards,

John

Sorry, the best thing to do is ensure that you're using a quality USB drive and it's always ejected properly from the computer or player to avoid damaging files and corrupting data. The player is not able to be reset from the corrupt read without a power-cycle. Sorry!

I have had this twice. It's not the drives because I am using very good Sandisk SSD USB sticks and I have also tried on two top line 2x Sandisk SSD portable external drives. The fact though that the XZ completely freezes and has to be restarted when this corruption occurs is an absolute joke. Pulse I own an XZ and 3x 3000s and a DJM 900 NXS2 so. I'm a pretty good Pioneer customer therefore I'd like someone to actually put some time and effort into looking into this.
