XDJ-XZ with Serato Question and recommandations

These are questions and problems i have with my XDJ-XZ. Hope someone from Pioneer will answer me and if the answers are negative to some of theses questions then they should be implemented in the next XZ update.

1) How to put my own artwork on the full display of the jogwheels?

2) When using Serato pro, why is the Quantize fractions in the XZ shortcut menu does not change the quantize fractions in serato ? Same for Load Lock option.

3) Why are the bar counts not ALWAYS displaying on the XZ screen? It should be white on playback then flashing red when approching and leaving a cue point ?

4) Why is the needle search on XZ display never goes to the very beginning of the track no matter how left i go ?  i'm always 4-5 beats short from the start.

5) Why are the cues wiper are all over the place on the jogwheel display  and do not start all from 12 Oclock ?

5) What is the current XDJ-XZ firmware # ?  When is the next XDJ-XZ update and where do you notify when you release?

Hey Guy,

1) Sorry, this isn't possible on the XZ and can't be changed in firmware update.

2) The quantize feature of Serato does not operate the same as within rekordbox, so unfortunately it's not controlled the same way from the hardware.

3) Only if you've got it set to count down to a hot cue, otherwise it just counts up.

4) I'm not sure, I've never had that problem. Have you tried recalibrating your display in the utility menu?

5) It's for consistency of the position; if you were to load that track from a USB drive it would be at the exact same location. If you're using Serato you do have the ability to adjust the sticker position.

6) Current version is 1.12; you can check here for updates. We don't typically put out announcements, and don't currently have any information on future updates.
