Driver issues

http://imgur.com/a/EgqCWkE Photos of issue in pic album above. Basically ever since the beginning I've had occasional issues connecting in performance mode to both rekordbox and serato. Was using mostly serato for awhile but wanted to start making a transition to rekordbox to fit industry standard. Issue was that sometimes when pushing link, and then the 1 and 2 button to cue tracks from software it would sometimes not grab the tracks and I would have to power off and back on to get them and sometimes had to do it multiple times. When switching to rekordbox I noticed it was working sometimes initially, but would eventually seem to keep playing a track but none of the controllers buttons would light up or work (haven't seen this happen in standalone mode but also rarely use it). So I decided to update the xdjs firmware from 1.1 to 1.2 and now it basically doesn't work at all with the software. Tried to update driver (rekordbox suggests my driver is out of date) and it goes thru full set up and at the last second it says failed even though it appeared to be working thru most of the install process. I even did a full windows reset (kept files but had it wipe everything else) which I believe included the drivers. As seen in pics I noticed there's always an xdj-xz (1) and xdj-xz (2). Now after the wipe it has 4 total, 2 (1)s and 2 (2)s. Any advice as I cant use this controller at all now??
