Hard Reset of XDJ-XZ? Issues with Sync and Play Start/Stop

My brand new XDJ-XZ recently started having two problems:

1. The sync button on the right deck stopped working. You can feel it click but it doesn't light up and the track does not become synced. Note that all tracks were analyzed by RekordBox.

2. On both decks, pressing the play Start/Stop button when the track is about to end (and the deck jog lights are flashing) does not stop playback. This was in Control mode via USB connection to MacBook Pro running RekordBox.

I'm thinking a hard (factory) reset might help?

Please advise.

Hey Ethan,

Sorry to hear about those problems - it's either a hardware fault or you have MIDI controls that aren't working as expected. Open rekordbox, click the MIDI button (top right), then click the DEFAULTS button to reset the configuration. See if that helps - if it doesn't, please file an inquiry ticket here and our support team will gather some additional information to assist you in resolving this issue.

Hi Pulse -

So resetting the MIDI maps to the default has the Sync button enabling the sync function again, ie the software function works but the physical button doesn't click which is still a pain. Again this is a very new unit with very light use to date.

The MIDI default issue remains odd as I had made no customizations to the MIDI mapping in the first place.

Regarding the Stop/Start, I tested this some more, and the button does actually start stop the track but the deck still flashes (near track end) even when stopped. While I get that, at some level this is a feature, IMO, it's distracting to have a stopped deck flashing. I'd like there to be an option in the settings to have deck flashing active only for playing tracks.

Also the login function to this support site is insanely buggy. The only thing that regularly works is logging out first and then logging back in. Have had these same issues in Safari and Chrome.
