Struggling using xdj rx as a midi

Hello recently purchased an xdj rx off a friend and have been trying to set it up connecting to my laptop via usb

Have downloaded all the most recent drivers 

when i plug the xdjrx into my laptop it is recognised and is recognised on the audio output how ever that is as far as it goes

have changed the control to midi on the xdj itself and put rekordbox in performance mode and still nothing

have also tried with it in export mode and using the rekord box button but it will not let me load tracks onto the xdj

any help would be greatly appreciated
