As an audio input, yes, you can play a CD through the line input.
For control purposes, no, since the DDJ-SX does not support DVS input.

Connect cdj1000mk2 to ddjsx
Can I connect a cdj 1000 MK2 to my ddj sx as a 3rd deck? My sx is connected to my mac if that makes a difference.

Hi thanks for responding, so weighting up the opinions..
Would I be able to run an cdj 1000 on a sx2 or sx3?
Or am I better off looking at getting an cdj 850 or even XDJ and run them on the sx?

The SX2 or SX3 both have DVS input, so you could use a timecode CD in the CDJ to operate as a controller. Personally, I would consider finding a working CDJ-400 which would operate as an HID controller without needing the extras, you could then still use your SX.
