Hey Michael,
It's actually only one audio device, but two MIDI devices which are used for the mixer section and decks sections. You don't need to remove anything.

XDJ-XZ and XDJ-XZ (2) - Double Macbook Sound Outputs?
Sometimes I get two sound output options for my XDJ-XZ when playing Rekordbox performance mode.
I think more accurately is that they don't display at the same time, but I either get XDJ-XZ or XDJ-XZ (2) to connect to.
I'm wondering if there's a way to remove a second driver installation if thats the case - or if it is disconnecting/reconnecting so fast it is adding a new device temporarily.
I have posted some other issues in the Rekordbox forum (Disconnecting during play) and wondered if this was possibly related.
