On my brand new DDJ-RZX, on the tilted screen-bar there are two physical buttons each side for 'combo fx' and 'sampler repeat' above each other. On the left 'combo fx' is on top, on the right 'sampler repeat' on top. Both sides switch as normal, so the switches are correct, only the caps seem to be swapped... Probably a guy in the factory did that on a early monday-morning after a heavy weekend... Anyway, my question, does anyone know if the caps can be taken of from the outside (perhaps just clicked in? without damage?) or does the unit to be opened for that?

I'd suggest returning it to your retailer for an exchange -- sorry about that! Someone certainly had a "Monday assembly" on that one!
